The short version: Recert does not collect your data. Everything you enter — licenses, CME activities, certificates, certifications, and your name and NPI — is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or anyone else. Recert has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics.
Recert is developed and published by Fellow Medical LLC. This policy explains how the Recert iOS app handles your information.
Nothing. Recert does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers, because Recert has no servers.
The app has no account system, no login, no user tracking, no advertising, no analytics or telemetry, and no third-party SDKs that gather information about you.
All information you enter into Recert is written to your device's local storage and stays there. This includes:
This information is not backed up to us, synced to any cloud service by Recert, or accessible to Fellow Medical LLC in any form. We cannot see it, retrieve it, or recover it.
Recert requests access to your camera so you can photograph or scan certificates and license cards directly into the app. Images captured this way are processed on your device and saved to the app's local storage. They are never uploaded.
Recert can also import files you select from your photo library or the Files app. It only accesses files you explicitly choose.
Text recognition on scanned documents is performed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in Vision framework. No image or text is sent anywhere for processing.
If you allow notifications, Recert schedules local reminders on your device before your licenses and certifications expire. These are generated and delivered by your device. No notification data passes through us.
When you create an audit packet or credentialing packet, the PDF is generated on your device. If you choose to share it — by email, AirDrop, saving to Files, or any other method — that sharing is handled by iOS and goes wherever you direct it. Recert does not retain a copy or receive any information about where you sent it.
Recert is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple collects certain information related to app downloads, purchases, and, if you have enabled sharing in your iOS settings, crash and usage analytics. This collection is performed by Apple under Apple's own policies, not by Recert, and we receive only aggregate, anonymized reports that cannot identify you. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
Because all data is stored locally, deleting the Recert app from your device permanently removes everything you entered. There is nothing for you to request from us, and nothing for us to delete on your behalf. We would encourage you to export or save any audit or credentialing packets you want to keep before deleting the app.
Recert is a professional tool intended for licensed clinicians and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
If Recert's functionality changes in a way that affects how information is handled, this policy will be updated and the date at the top of this page revised. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
